Lasso Your Dream, a program featuring Larry Heidbreder and Ocowan the preaching horse.

All across this green Earth, people are asking, “Why am I here?”  They don’t have a clear idea what their purpose is
for their life.
Ocowan, the educated horse, has realized this dilemma within mankind and has an answer to the question. After many
years of observing human nature, Ocowan offers to guide people toward their God given destiny. He performs an
illustrated talk to show people how they can finally lasso their dream.
With his assistant, Larry Heidbreder, Ocowan will show the audience a way out of the confusion that is prevalent in our
world today.  The message presented is, God has written the purpose for each person on their heart before they were
born. This destiny is called their Big Dream and everyone should work toward  accomplishing this purpose. True
happiness comes only when a person is seeking to make this happen. A possible reason for the drug and alcohol
abuse we see in society is the person is not living out their God purpose. Something deep within the soul is crying out
for them to work toward their destiny.
Ocowan demonstrates that people are born with all the skill and talents they need to make their dream come true.
People need to realize this and start using what God has given them to make this purpose happen.
The 11-year-old Appaloosa horse shows the audience they will have to break through a wall of fear to get started on
the journey toward their dream. He will drag a tow sack full of un-forgiveness and demonstrate how that hinders a
person from doing what God has for them. Ocowen will explain to people how a stumbling block can be turned into a
stepping stone. He will face a task that seems impossible and tell the audience that they need encouragement from
others to be successful.
This program is a Jesus message with the flavor of the Old West to be enjoyed by all ages.

Biography of Larry Heidbreder

Larry grew up in Baytown, Texas. In his early days all Larry ever wanted to do with is life was be a horseman. God had
a different plan and the
Lasso Your Dream program is the result of the destiny laid out for Larry's life. He graduated
from Texas A&M with a degree in Agriculture Education. Larry taught vocational ag in Texas public schools for twelve
years. In the mid-1990s he realized his passion was for history. He returned to school and worked on a Master's
Degree in History at Sam Houston State. Larry has taught American History at the junior and senior high level the last
few years.
Larry and his family participated in many Civil War reenactments and this lead to them going to all the Texas
Revolution events in the state.  This immersion in history inspired Larry to create a living history program where he
demonstrated how a horse was captured out of the wild and then tamed. He trained a horse to perform tricks to help
illustrate the story line. The Heidbreder family traveled across East Texas performing this program at folk festivals and
cowboy gatherings. Larry did not realize it at the time but he was being prepared for his life purpose by doing this
program before live audiences.
In 2001 Larry felt an unction from God to create a program with his horse that brought a Gospel message. After
reading Bruce Wilkinson's
The Dream Giver, Larry understood what his message should be. Then Joel Osteen's Your
Best Life Now
completed the essences of the program. From these resources Larry realized his purpose in life was to
be a Life Purpose coach and encourage people to work toward their own God given destiny.
It has taken several years to train Ocowan for the tricks needed and to develop the narrative that is illustrated by what
the horse does. Larry is thankful to Jesus for allowing him to work with a horse as his life purpose. In our Lord's wisdom
He understood that the horse has a huge portion of Larry's heart. Larry uses Ocowan to help people see the hand of
God in every thing on this earth. The
Lasso Your Dream program is the result of Larry's relationships with Jesus and
this magnificent animal.
Press release for program with Oxen

The Texian Institute of Oxenology

The role oxen played in the creation of the great state of Texas is not fully understood by the modern public.
Pioneers of early Texas owe their success of surviving the frontier life to these noble beast. Without the hard
working oxen of old times the settlement of Texas would have been set back possibly seventy to one hundred years.
The Texian Institute of Oxenology has taken on the task of educating the public about the contributions to the
civilization of this wild country by oxen and the skilled ox drover. Native born Longhorn steers, Liberty and Justice,
are what a person would expect to see as work animals in the early days of Texas. The steers travel to living history
events and demonstrate to the audience how oxen were trained to work. "Professor Paisley Bent", Lecturer in
Resident, is dressed in 1830s period clothing to give the listener a historical feeling about the events described in
the presentation.  The "Professor" tells stories from the Republic of Texas days on the tribulations the drover and
his oxen faced during those exciting and dangerous times.
Liberty and Justice have participated in many of the Texas Revolution reenactments reminding spectators of the
importance of these animals to the history of this great state. When the boys were just one year old they made their
first appearance at the San Jacinto Battlefield Festival.
Definition of many terms used everyday by the ox drover and how some of these words are still used in our modern
language is a focus of one segment. "Professor Paisley" takes all questions and settles any curiosity about oxen
and the training of these great animals. Explanation of the skills and technology dealing with oxen is demonstrated in
a “this is how it was done back then” manner.
Any person that has an interest in hearing about early Texas history will enjoy this unique presentation. Then to see
the oxen work at pulling a cart close up is an added bonus.
